Why devotees choose Shukra Aditya Sandhi Shanti
The twenty-year Shukra dasha is followed by the six-year Surya dasha in the Vimshottari system. Kannada tradition marks this junction with a sandhi shanti, honouring both grahas so that the transition is smooth and the qualities of the Sun, such as confidence and clarity, are welcomed.
When it is performed
It is performed close to the date Shukra dasha ends and Surya dasha begins, as calculated by the astrologer.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, the priest performs Shukra and Surya japa and homa with udumbara and arka samidhs, followed by Navagraha prayers and dana.
Formats and languages
Shukra Aditya Sandhi Shanti can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
