Why devotees choose Kumbha Vivaha
For horoscopes with Kuja dosha or afflictions to the seventh house, tradition offers Kumbha Vivaha as a remedy. The kumbha, worshipped as Lord Vishnu, becomes the first symbolic spouse, so the dosha is absorbed and the actual marriage can proceed in harmony.
When it is performed
It is performed before the wedding, at a muhurtha chosen by the priest.
What the ceremony involves
A water-filled pot is decorated and worshipped as Vishnu. A short symbolic wedding is conducted, followed by prayers and homa, and the pot is immersed or broken according to tradition. The family then offers dana.
Formats and languages
Kumbha Vivaha can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
