Why devotees choose Ganapathi Homam
Lord Ganapathi is worshipped first in every Hindu ritual as Vighneshwara, the remover of obstacles. A Ganapathi Homam invites his blessings for a smooth beginning, whether you are moving house, opening a business, starting a project or simply seeking clarity and calm at home.
When it is performed
It is commonly performed early in the morning, on Sankatahara or Vinayaka Chaturthi, on Tuesdays and Fridays, or as the first ritual of a larger ceremony such as a griha pravesham or wedding.
What the ceremony involves
The priest performs a sankalpa, kalasha pooja and avahanam (invocation), then offers ashta dravya (eight sacred materials, including modaka, sugarcane, coconut, jaggery and sesame) into the fire while chanting the Ganapathi Atharvashirsha and moola mantra. Purnahuti and aarti complete the homam.
Formats and languages
Ganapathi Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
