Why devotees choose Shatru Samhara Homam
Lord Subramanya (Murugan or Kartikeya) defeated the demon Surapadman, and in Tamil tradition he is the protector of the righteous. This homam, with the Shatru Samhara Trishati, is performed to overcome hostility, legal or workplace conflict and inner enemies such as anger and fear. It supports, and never replaces, professional advice.
When it is performed
Tuesdays, Shashti tithi, Krittika nakshatra, Skanda Shashti and Thaipusam are especially auspicious.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, the priest invokes Lord Subramanya and chants the Shatru Samhara Trishati and Subramanya mantras with offerings into the fire. The homam concludes with purnahuti, aarti and the distribution of vibhuti prasad.
Formats and languages
Shatru Samhara Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
