Why devotees choose Dhrishti Durga Homam
Many families believe that envy and negative attention, known as drishti or the evil eye, can unsettle a home or business. Drishti Durga Homam invokes the protective power of Goddess Durga to clear that negativity, and families often perform it after celebrations, a new purchase or a period of difficulty.
When it is performed
Tuesdays, Fridays, Amavasya and Ashtami are popular, as is any time after a major celebration or achievement.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapati pooja and a sankalpa, the priest invokes Durga and chants her protective mantras, offering ghee, red chillies or other prescribed materials into the fire. The ritual ends with purnahuti and a drishti removal (dhrishti suthi) for the family.
Formats and languages
Dhrishti Durga Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
