Why devotees choose Udakashanti
In Kannada families, Udakashanti is performed before upanayana, weddings and gruhapravesha, after the birth of a child, and when a family wishes to restore peace after a difficult period. The water in the kalasha, sanctified by the Vedic mantras, carries the blessings into the home.
When it is performed
It is performed before major samskaras, on birthdays and anniversaries, and whenever the family priest recommends it.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, kalashas are installed and Vedic priests chant the Udakashanti mantras. The sanctified water is sprinkled over the family and throughout the home, and a little is taken as tirtha.
Formats and languages
Udakashanti can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
