Why devotees choose New Vehicle Pooja
A new vehicle is a significant purchase and a part of daily life. Families perform a vehicle pooja to give thanks and pray for safety on every journey. Ganapathi is invoked to remove obstacles, and many families also honour Hanuman or their family deity.
When it is performed
It is usually performed on the day of delivery or the first journey, at an auspicious time, or during Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami.
What the ceremony involves
The priest performs a short Ganapathi pooja and sankalpa. The vehicle is decorated with flowers, a kumkum swastika and a garland, and a coconut is broken. Lemons are placed under the wheels and crushed as the vehicle moves forward, and aarti is performed around it.
Formats and languages
New Vehicle Pooja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
