New Business/Office Opening Pooja

Why devotees choose New Business/Office Opening Pooja

A new business carries the hopes of its founders, employees and families. Tamil business owners traditionally begin with Ganapathi homam to remove obstacles, Lakshmi Kubera pooja for prosperity and Vastu Shanti to harmonise the premises. The pooja also gives the team a shared moment of celebration.

When it is performed

It is held on the opening day at an auspicious muhurtham chosen from the owner's birth star and the panchangam, usually in the morning.

What the ceremony involves

Typical rituals include Ganapathi homam, punyahavachanam to purify the premises, Lakshmi Kubera pooja, Vastu pooja and the worship of the cash box, account books and computers. The ribbon or doorway is opened after aarti, and sweets are shared with guests.

Formats and languages

New Business/Office Opening Pooja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Tamil tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.

How booking works

Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.

Questions families ask

Can this pooja be done online?

For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.

Is samagri included?

The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.

A note on faith and expectations
