Why devotees choose Navaratri Pooja
Navaratri, called Dasara in Karnataka, honours Goddess Durga in her nine forms and culminates in Vijayadashami, the victory of good over evil. The Mysuru Dasara, celebrating Goddess Chamundeshwari, is world-famous. At home, families arrange gombe displays and worship the goddess every evening.
When it is performed
Sharad Navaratri falls in the bright fortnight of Ashwija masa, usually in September or October, ending with Vijayadashami.
What the ceremony involves
The celebrations begin with kalasha sthapana and continue with daily Devi pooja, Lalitha Sahasranama archane and the nine-day gombe display. Saraswati pooja is held on Moola nakshatra, Durgashtami and Ayudha pooja follow, and Vijayadashami concludes the festival.
Formats and languages
Navaratri Pooja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
