Why devotees choose Murti Pran Pratishta At Home
An idol becomes a living focus of worship through Pran Pratishtha, the ritual in which the pandit invites the deity's presence into the murti. Families perform it when setting up a new home temple, bringing home a new idol, or replacing an old or damaged one.
When it is performed
It is performed on a shubh muhurat, often on the deity's special day, such as a Tuesday for Hanuman or Ganesh Chaturthi for Ganesh, or on a festival.
What the ceremony involves
The idol is purified and bathed with water, milk and panchamrit (abhishek). The pandit performs nyas, chants the Pran Pratishtha mantras, conducts the symbolic opening of the eyes (netronmilan) and performs the first shodashopachar puja, aarti and naivedya. Guidance on daily worship is shared.
Formats and languages
Murti Pran Pratishta At Home can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi and Marathi traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
