Why devotees choose Graha Shanti Puja
In North Indian and Maharashtrian tradition, a Graha Shanti is performed before major family events, especially weddings, so that all planetary influences are honoured. It is also performed during difficult dasha periods or when the kundli shows challenging planetary positions.
When it is performed
It is commonly performed a day or two before a wedding, before griha pravesh, on a birthday, or on a muhurat suggested by the pandit.
What the ceremony involves
The pandit performs Ganesh puja, Punyahvachan and kalash sthapana, then worships the nine grahas on a Navgraha mandal with their colours, grains and flowers. A Navgraha havan with each graha's mantra and samidha follows, and the puja concludes with purnahuti and aarti.
Formats and languages
Graha Shanti Puja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
