Why devotees choose Ekadashi Vrat Udyapan
Ekadashi, the eleventh lunar day, is sacred to Lord Vishnu, and many devotees fast on every Ekadashi for a year or another vowed period. Scriptures recommend an udyapan to complete the vow properly, giving thanks to the Lord and sharing the merit through charity.
When it is performed
It is usually performed on an Ekadashi or Dwadashi after the vowed period, with Margashirsha (Mokshada) and Kartik (Prabodhini) Ekadashis being especially popular.
What the ceremony involves
The pandit performs Ganesh puja, kalash sthapana and Lord Vishnu's puja with tulsi, followed by the reading of the Ekadashi mahatmya and a havan. Brahmins are offered food, clothes and dakshina, and the vow is formally concluded with aarti.
Formats and languages
Ekadashi Vrat Udyapan can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
