Why devotees choose Durga Pooja
Goddess Durga is worshipped as the protector and mother of the universe. A Durga Pooja at home brings the family together in devotion, especially during Navaratri, and is performed to seek protection, strength and the goddess's blessings for every member of the household.
When it is performed
Sharad Navaratri (particularly Ashtami and Navami), Chaitra Navaratri, Fridays and Tuesdays are the most popular times.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, the priest performs kalasha sthapana and invokes the goddess, followed by shodashopachara pooja, the chanting of Durga Saptashloki or Saptashati verses, kumkum archana and naivedyam. Kanya pooja is included in some traditions, and the pooja ends with aarti.
Formats and languages
Durga Pooja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Marathi and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
