Bhoomi Pooja

Why devotees choose Bhoomi Pooja

Bhoomi Pooja seeks the permission and blessings of Bhoomi Devi, the Earth goddess, and Vastu Purusha before the land is dug for a new home, office or factory. Families and builders perform it so the project begins on an auspicious note and proceeds safely and smoothly.

When it is performed

It is performed before construction starts, on a muhurta chosen from the panchang and the owner's birth star, often in the morning and in the northeast (Ishanya) corner of the plot.

What the ceremony involves

The priest performs Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, worships Bhoomi Devi and Vastu Purusha, and conducts Navagraha pooja. The owner breaks the first ground, and navadhanyam, coins and other auspicious items are placed in the foundation pit before the foundation stone is laid.

Formats and languages

Bhoomi Pooja can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.

How booking works

Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.

Questions families ask

Can this pooja be done online?

For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.

Is samagri included?

The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.

A note on faith and expectations
