Why devotees choose Bhagavathi Seva

Bhagavathi Seva is a traditional worship of Goddess Bhagavathi, the Divine Mother, especially loved in Kerala and among Tamil families of Kerala origin. The goddess is invoked into a lamp placed at the centre of a padmam drawn in rice flour and colours. Devotees perform it for the welfare and peace of the household.

When it is performed

It is usually performed in the evening after sunset, on Fridays, during Navaratri, or to mark family milestones and housewarmings.

What the ceremony involves

The priest draws the padmam, lights the nilavilakku (traditional lamp) at its centre and invokes the goddess. Lalitha Sahasranama or Devi mantras are chanted with archana of flowers and kumkum, naivedyam such as payasam is offered, and the seva ends with aarti.

Formats and languages

Bhagavathi Seva can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Tamil tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.

How booking works

Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.

Questions families ask

Can this pooja be done online?

For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.

Is samagri included?

The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.

A note on faith and expectations
