Effective date: 30 October 2026
1. Who we are and what the wallet is
These terms are issued by Shri Kesari Ventures, with its principal place of business at 40/1A, Poushyaa Complex, Vijaya Bank Layout, Kodichikkanahalli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560076 ("Shri Kesari Ventures", "we", "us"), which operates the website upaaywala.com under the name "Upaaywala".
Your wallet is a prepaid balance held by Shri Kesari Ventures that you can use only to pay for astrologer consultations on this website. Wallet balance:
- never expires: money you add stays in your wallet until you use it or ask for it to be refunded; - cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred to another person or used anywhere else, except by the refund described in section 7; and - does not earn interest.
You need a customer account to use the wallet. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
2. Recharging
You can add money in amounts from ₹100 to ₹50,000. The total wallet balance cannot exceed ₹2,00,000.
GST at 18% is added to every recharge. For example, to add ₹100 to your wallet you pay ₹118 (₹100 plus ₹18 GST). The recharge amount, the GST and the total are shown before you pay, and the full recharge amount is added to your wallet. Consultations are then charged from your wallet at the astrologer's rate, with no further tax.
Wallet recharges are the only payments made online on this website. You pay by card, UPI or netbanking on Razorpay's secure payment page. Your wallet is credited automatically once Razorpay confirms the payment.
If you start a recharge but do not complete the payment, that unfinished request is cancelled after 72 hours and nothing is charged. This applies only to unpaid requests: money already added to your wallet never expires.
If money leaves your account but your wallet is not credited, the payment is either credited automatically or returned to you by Razorpay. If it is neither credited nor returned within 5–7 business days, contact us with the recharge reference.
We never ask for your card details, UPI PIN, passwords or one-time codes by phone, email or WhatsApp.
3. Booking a consultation
Choose an astrologer and a plan, tell us whether you want a WhatsApp call or a direct phone call, and give a number we can reach you on. You can ask for an immediate call when the astrologer is shown as available, or choose a preferred time that we then confirm with you.
Our team connects the call. We call you and the astrologer and join the call; we do not use an automatic calling service. To connect the call, we may share your phone number with the astrologer.
4. How you are charged
Per-minute plan: the first minute of every consultation is free. After that, the astrologer's per-minute rate shown when you booked is deducted for each further minute of the call. A part minute counts as a full minute.
Session plan: the session price shown when you booked is charged for the included minutes. If the call continues beyond the included minutes, the extra minutes are charged at the astrologer's per-minute rate, where this is shown when you book.
When the call ends, our team records its total length, and the system calculates the charge from that. The charge appears in your wallet statement with the minutes, the free minute and the amount. Any remaining balance stays in your wallet for future consultations.
Holds: when you book, an amount is held from your available balance. For a per-minute plan this is 5 minutes at the astrologer's rate; for a session it is the session price. The held amount cannot be used for another booking. It is released when the call ends and only the actual charge is deducted.
If your balance runs low during a call, we may end the call when your balance is used up. We never deduct more than your wallet balance.
5. Calls that do not happen
You are not charged, and the hold is released, if:
- you cancel before the call starts; - we cannot connect the call; or - the astrologer is unavailable.
If we cannot reach you at the confirmed time after two attempts, the consultation is closed without charge.
If a call drops because of a problem on our side or the astrologer's, tell us within 48 hours and we will refund the affected minutes to your wallet.
6. Disputing a charge
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact customercare@upaaywala.com or use the grievance page, quoting the consultation reference. We check our call record, and correct the charge by refunding it to your wallet where it was wrong. Our grievance officer acknowledges complaints within 48 hours and aims to resolve them within one month of receipt.
7. Refund of unused balance
You can ask for unused balance to be refunded from your wallet page at any time. We refund the unused balance together with the GST you paid on it, to the original payment method or to a bank account in your name, within 5–7 business days of your request, after checking your identity. The requested amount is held while we process it. No fee is deducted.
8. Our right to suspend a wallet
We may temporarily suspend a wallet if we suspect fraud, misuse or a payment dispute. While a wallet is suspended you cannot recharge or book. We will tell you why unless the law prevents us, and we will refund the remaining balance if we close the account.
9. Nature of consultations
Astrology is a matter of personal belief and tradition. Consultations are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and no particular result is promised.
10. Records and privacy
We keep a permanent record of every wallet transaction for accounting and tax purposes. How we handle your personal data, including your phone number and any birth details you share, is described in our Privacy Notice.
11. Taxes
Shri Kesari Ventures is registered under GST. GST at 18% is charged on each wallet recharge, as explained in section 2, and astrologers' rates are then charged from your wallet with no further tax. We issue GST invoices directly to you by email.
12. Changes
We may change these terms or the rates shown on the website. A consultation is always billed at the rate and terms shown when you booked it. A change to these terms never makes money already in your wallet expire.
