Why devotees choose Sri Sukta Homam
The Sri Suktam is a hymn to Goddess Lakshmi from the Rigvedic tradition, praising her as golden, radiant and the bestower of abundance. Families perform this homam to invite prosperity, harmony and good fortune into the home, and to express gratitude for what they already have.
When it is performed
Fridays, full-moon days, Diwali, Akshaya Tritiya, Varalakshmi Vratam and the start of a business or financial year are popular times.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapati pooja and a sankalpa, the priest installs a kalasha for Lakshmi and chants the sixteen verses of the Sri Suktam repeatedly, offering ghee, lotus seeds and sweets into the fire. Purnahuti and aarti complete the ritual.
Formats and languages
Sri Sukta Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
