Why devotees choose Shanti Path
The Vedas contain many shanti mantras, prayers for peace in the self, the family and the world, such as "Om Dyau Shanti" from the Yajurveda. A Shanti Path brings these prayers together to calm the atmosphere of a home, after a bereavement, illness or conflict, or before an important new beginning.
When it is performed
It can be performed on any auspicious day, after the thirteen days of mourning, or before ceremonies, as the family wishes.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganesh puja and a sankalp, the pandits recite the Vedic shanti mantras, the Purusha Sukta and chosen stotras, often with a short havan. Gangajal is sprinkled through the home, and the path ends with aarti.
Formats and languages
Shanti Path can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
