Why devotees choose Mangala Gowri Vratham
Goddess Mangala Gowri, a gentle form of Parvati, is worshipped by newly married women for a long and happy married life and the welfare of their husbands and families. The vratham is usually observed for the first five years after marriage.
When it is performed
It is observed on every Tuesday of Shravana masam, usually in July and August.
What the ceremony involves
An image of Gowri is installed and decorated, and the priest guides the sankalpa, shodashopachara pooja and Mangala Gowri vratha katha. A lamp of wheat flour is lit, sixteen kinds of offerings are made, and tambulam is given to married women, who bless the bride.
Formats and languages
Mangala Gowri Vratham can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Telugu tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
