Why devotees choose Pratyangira Devi Homam
Goddess Pratyangira, also called Atharvana Bhadrakali, is a fierce form of the Divine Mother with the face of a lion. She is invoked to dispel negative energy and protect devotees from harm. In Tamil tradition this homam is considered one of the strongest protective rituals.
When it is performed
Amavasya (new moon), Ashtami, Tuesdays and Sundays are considered especially powerful for Pratyangira worship.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapati pooja and a sankalpa, the priest invokes Pratyangira Devi and chants her mantras while offering ghee and sacred materials. In many temples red chillies are also offered into the fire. Purnahuti, aarti and the distribution of kumkum prasad complete the ritual.
Formats and languages
Pratyangira Devi Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Tamil tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
