Why devotees choose Mata Ki Chowki
A chowki brings the energy of a jagran into a few hours of devotional music, making it ideal for busy families and smaller venues. North Indian families host a Mata Ki Chowki before weddings, at housewarmings, on birthdays and during Navratri, to invite the goddess's blessings with music and celebration.
When it is performed
It is usually held in the evening and lasts three to four hours, during Navratri or on any family occasion.
What the ceremony involves
The chowki begins with Ganesh vandana and the lighting of the jyot before the Mata's image. A bhajan group sings popular Devi bhajans, devotees offer chunri and bhog, and the evening ends with aarti and prasad.
Formats and languages
Mata Ki Chowki can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
