When it is performed

Fridays, Sravana masam, Diwali, Dhanteras, Akshaya Tritiya and Varalakshmi Vratam are especially auspicious.

What the ceremony involves

After Ganapathi pooja and a sankalpa, Mahalakshmi is invoked in a decorated kalasha. Priests chant the Sri Suktam, Lakshmi Ashtottaram and her moola mantra with offerings of ghee, lotus seeds, honey and sweets. Purnahuti, aarti and kumkum archana conclude the homam.

Formats and languages

Mahalakshmi Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Telugu tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.

Can this pooja be done online?

For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.

Is samagri included?

The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
