Why devotees choose Ketu Graha Japam
Ketu, the shadow planet, is associated in Jyotisha with detachment, spirituality, sudden changes and past karma. During Ketu mahadasha or antardasha, or when Ketu afflicts important houses, astrologers recommend this japam for steadiness and spiritual growth. Devotees often worship Lord Ganapathi alongside.
When it is performed
It is usually started on a Tuesday or Saturday, or at the start of Ketu dasha, as the astrologer advises.
What the ceremony involves
Priests chant the Ketu mantra a prescribed number of times, followed by a homam with kusha grass. Horse gram (kulthi), a multicoloured or grey cloth and sesame are traditional items of dana.
Formats and languages
Ketu Graha Japam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Telugu tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
