Why devotees choose Ganesh Sthapana and Visarjan
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesh. Families bring home an idol, invite the Lord's presence through pran pratishtha, worship him for one and a half, three, five, seven or ten days, and then immerse him with the promise to return next year. Doing each step correctly makes the festival complete.
When it is performed
Sthapana is on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, usually in August or September, and visarjan follows after the chosen number of days, up to Anant Chaturdashi.
What the ceremony involves
The pandit performs the sthapana with sankalp, pran pratishtha and shodashopachar puja with 21 durva, modak and red flowers. Daily aarti follows, and on the last day the uttar puja is performed before the visarjan. Eco-friendly idols and home immersion can be arranged on request.
Formats and languages
Ganesh Sthapana and Visarjan can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
