Why devotees choose Ganapathi Sthapana/Visarjan
Ganeshotsav is Maharashtra's biggest festival. Families welcome Ganpati Bappa home for one and a half to ten days, often together with Gauri (Mahalakshmi) for three days, and they celebrate with modak, aartis and community gatherings before the emotional farewell of the visarjan.
When it is performed
Sthapana is on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, Gauri avahan follows a few days later, and visarjan is on the chosen day up to Anant Chaturdashi.
What the ceremony involves
The purohit performs the sthapana with sankalp, pran pratishtha and shodashopachar puja with 21 durva and 21 modak. Daily aartis such as "Sukhakarta Dukhaharta" follow, Gauri puja is arranged where the family observes it, and the uttar puja precedes the visarjan with "Ganpati Bappa Morya."
Formats and languages
Ganapathi Sthapana/Visarjan can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Marathi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
