Why devotees choose Dhanvantri Havan
Lord Dhanvantri, the father of Ayurveda, emerged from the churning of the ocean carrying the pot of amrit. North Indian and Marathi families perform this havan for strength and wellbeing, especially when a loved one is unwell or recovering. It is an expression of faith that accompanies medical treatment and never replaces it.
When it is performed
Dhanteras (Dhanvantri Jayanti) is the most significant day, and it can also be performed on Thursdays or a day chosen by the pandit.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganesh puja and a sankalp naming those prayed for, the pandit chants the Dhanvantri mantra with offerings of ghee, herbs and samagri into the fire. Purnahuti, aarti and prasad conclude the havan.
Formats and languages
Dhanvantri Havan can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi and Marathi traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
