Why devotees choose Chandra Graha Japam
Chandra represents the mind, emotions, mother and nurturing. An afflicted or weak Moon in the horoscope is traditionally associated with restlessness and emotional ups and downs. The japam is performed to strengthen Chandra's calming influence, often during Chandra dasha or difficult transits.
When it is performed
It is usually started on a Monday, on Purnima, during Chandra hora or at the start of Chandra dasha, as advised by the astrologer.
What the ceremony involves
Priests chant the Chandra mantra a prescribed number of times over one or more days, followed by a homam with palasha samidh. Rice, white cloth and silver are traditional items of dana.
Formats and languages
Chandra Graha Japam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Telugu tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
