Why devotees choose Chandi Homam
Chandi Homam is dedicated to Goddess Chandi, the fierce form of Durga who defeats the forces of darkness in the Devi Mahatmyam. Devotees perform it to seek courage, protection and the removal of obstacles in family and work, and as an offering of gratitude to the Divine Mother.
When it is performed
Navaratri, Ashtami and Navami tithis, Fridays and full-moon days are especially popular, and families also schedule it before major undertakings.
What the ceremony involves
The priests chant all thirteen chapters of the Durga Saptashati and offer each verse into the fire with ghee and sacred materials. The ritual includes Ganapati pooja, kalasha sthapana, Navagraha worship, kanya or suvasini pooja in some traditions, and a grand purnahuti with a silk saree and other offerings.
Formats and languages
Chandi Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
