Why devotees choose Ayusha Homam
Ayusha Homam invokes Ayur Devata, the deity of life span, through the Ayur Suktam and offerings into the sacred fire. Families perform it as a prayer of gratitude and protection for a child or an elder, and it is especially popular for a baby's first birthday.
When it is performed
It is usually performed on the birthday by birth star (janma nakshatra), most often for the first birthday, and at milestone birthdays for adults.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganapati pooja and a sankalpa in the person's name, the priest kindles the sacred fire and offers ghee, samidh (sacred twigs) and herbs while chanting the Ayur Suktam and Mrityunjaya mantras. The homam ends with purnahuti (the final offering), aarti and blessings.
Formats and languages
Ayusha Homam can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Kannada and Tamil traditions can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
