Why devotees choose Ayush Havan
Ayush means life span. In this havan, Ayur Devta and Lord Shiva as Mrityunjaya are invoked with offerings into the sacred fire. North Indian families perform it on birthdays, especially the first birthday, and for elders on milestone birthdays or after a period of ill health, alongside medical care.
When it is performed
It is usually performed on the birthday (by tithi or date), the birth nakshatra, or on a muhurat chosen by the pandit.
What the ceremony involves
After Ganesh puja, Navgraha puja and a sankalp, the pandit lights the sacred fire and offers ghee, samagri and durva with the Ayush Sukta and Mahamrityunjaya mantras. Purnahuti, aarti and blessings from elders conclude the havan.
Formats and languages
Ayush Havan can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Hindi tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Tell us the occasion, location and dates that suit your family. We match a priest who follows your tradition, confirm timings and materials, and send a written plan with the final price. You decide only when everything is clear.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Pooja and homam are practised for devotion, gratitude and inner steadiness. They do not replace qualified professional advice, and no outcome is promised.
