Why devotees choose Ananta Padmanabha Vratham
Lord Ananta Padmanabha is Vishnu resting on the infinite serpent Adisesha. According to the Bhavishyottara Purana, Lord Krishna advised Yudhishthira to observe this vratham during the years of exile. Telugu families observe it for prosperity and the welfare of the family, and many continue it every year once begun.
When it is performed
It is observed on Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturdashi (Ananta Chaturdashi), usually in September.
What the ceremony involves
A kalasha and an image of Ananta Padmanabha, often with a darbha-grass serpent, are worshipped with shodashopachara pooja. The vratha katha is read, and the sacred thread with fourteen knots (Ananta dharam) is worshipped and tied on the wrist. Naivedyam and aarti conclude the vratham.
Formats and languages
Ananta Padmanabha Vratham can be arranged at your home, or online with live participation where the ritual allows it. Priests who follow the Telugu tradition can be requested, and the chanting language and regional procedure are confirmed before the date is fixed.
How booking works
Send an enquiry with your city, preferred dates and language. A coordinator confirms a suitable priest, the muhurta, the samagri list, what is included and the final price. You approve the plan before any payment is requested.
Questions families ask
Can this pooja be done online?
For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.
Is samagri included?
The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
A note on faith and expectations
Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
