The Ramcharitmanas tells the story of Lord Ram in Awadhi verse and is one of the most loved scriptures in North India. In an akhand (unbroken) path, the entire text is recited without stopping. When it is performed

It is popular during Ram Navami, Navratri, Diwali and family milestones, and it usually begins in the morning and concludes about twenty-four hours later.

What the ceremony involves

After Ganesh puja, kalash sthapana and a sankalp, a team of pandits takes turns reciting the Ramcharitmanas continuously, often with harmonium and dholak. A lamp (akhand jyot) burns throughout, and the path concludes with Ram aarti, havan and prasad.

Formats and languages

Can this pooja be done online?

For many poojas, homams and paths, yes: the priest performs the ritual with your sankalpa (names, gotra and intention) while you join by video. Ceremonies that need the family present, such as a housewarming, wedding or samskara, are held in person, and relatives who live elsewhere can join by video.

Is samagri included?

The written plan lists every item the priest brings and anything your family needs to arrange, so there are no surprises on the day.
