Guru Peyarchi 2026

Why devotees choose Guru Peyarchi 2026

Guru Peyarchi, the transit of Jupiter from one rasi to the next, is closely followed in Tamil Nadu because Guru is the great benefic of Jyotisha. Families whose rasi is affected by the 2026 transit perform a pariharam, or simply offer prayers to Guru Bhagavan for wisdom, family welfare and good fortune.

When it is performed

It is performed around the transit date and in the following weeks. The Vakya and Thirukanitha panchangams give different dates, so we confirm the date the chosen temple follows.

What to expect

A sankalpam is made in your name, rasi and nakshatram. The priests perform Guru homam and archana to Dakshinamurthy or Guru Bhagavan with yellow flowers, chana dal and a yellow cloth, and prasad can be couriered. Temples such as Alangudi are traditionally associated with Guru.

Planning your visit

The temple is chosen with you during planning, based on the ritual and your preference. The local priest, the schedule, any travel and remote participation are then confirmed in writing.

How booking works

Planning starts with a short enquiry. Our team checks priest availability for your tradition and language, proposes a muhurta, shares a clear list of inclusions and samagri, and confirms the total. Nothing is booked or charged until you agree.

Questions families ask

Can I take part if I cannot travel?

Remote participation, including sankalpa in your family's names, live viewing and prasad delivery, depends on the venue and the ritual. It is confirmed for your specific booking.

What is included in the price?

You receive a written plan that lists the ritual, priest dakshina, materials, donations, travel and stay where relevant, so the final price is clear before you confirm.

A note on faith and expectations

Every ceremony is offered as an act of devotion. Results in health, wealth, relationships or legal matters cannot be promised, and professional advice should always be sought where it is needed.
