Copper Shri Yantra — Etched Meditation Plate

The Shri Yantra is formed by nine interlocking triangles, four pointing upward and five downward, which radiate from a central point (bindu) to create forty-three smaller triangles. These are enclosed by lotus petals and a square gateway. This plate reproduces the geometry on copper, a metal traditionally favoured for yantras.

Tradition and meaning

In the Shakta tradition, the Shri Yantra represents Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari and the union of Shiva and Shakti. It is worshipped as a focus for meditation and devotion and is traditionally associated with abundance and harmony. Many families install it in the puja room with a short pooja.

How to choose

Look for clean, accurate geometry, with symmetrical triangles meeting precisely. Confirm the plate size, thickness and metal, and whether it is pure copper or plated.

Care

Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. To restore shine, clean it gently with a little lemon and salt or tamarind, then rinse and dry it thoroughly. Keep it in a clean, respected place, traditionally facing east or north-east.
